Coastal Settlement from the Bronze Age of Menorca
The Cala Morell Coastal Settlement, approximately 3,500 years old, is one of the few examples of a coastal prehistoric settlement, since in the prehistory of Menorca it was far more common to live in the interior of the island, far from the sea. The settlement is made up of 13 houses, most of them naviform with an elongated apse, among other constructions. The place where it was built is spectacular, and it is worth visiting.
This pre-Talayotic settlement can be visited all year round and its entrance is free. It is located 10 kilometers away from Ciutadella de Menorca, and about 15 minutes by car from it. There is a nearby car park, although you have to walk 10 minutes to access the promontory on which the town was built. It is located near the beach of Cala Morell, where there are several restaurants, only open during the summer season. It is also located 5 minutes away by car from the Necropolis of Cala Morell.
